Thank you to all our sponsors, exhibitors, partners and visitors who helped make the launch of The Carbon Show a huge success! We look forward to welcoming you back to next year's show on 4-5 October 2010 at the Business Design Centre, London.

Why is the Carbon Show important?
Just consider that the UK must reduce its baseline emissions of six major greenhouse gases by 12.5%. The draft Climate Change Bill commits the UK to reductions in CO2 emissions of at least 26% by 2020 and 80% by 2050. Consider the huge opportunities offered by this commitment - The Carbon Show helped you make the most of them!
Are you prepared for the Carbon Reduction Commitment?
The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) has been introduced to meet the UK's climate change targets. This new emissions trading scheme aims to reduce carbon emissions in large non-energy intensive organisations by 1.2 million tonnes of carbon per year by 2020. The CRC will be targeting organisations whose electricity consumption is greater than 6,000MWh/yr - equivalent to an annual electricity bill of £500k. However, many organisations are still not fully prepared or aware of the commitments they may face and the actions they may need to take.
* Are you concerned about your company‘s approach to global warming?
* Are you aware of what the impacts of new legislation will have on your business?
* Is your company prepared for the Carbon Reduction Commitment?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then The Carbon Show was the place for you. The Environment Agency where leading exclusive in-depth seminars, plenary sessions and workshops to help organisations get up to speed on the CRC. And leading consulting firms like Enviros and AEA where discussing the many business opportunities related to this new initiative.
"Carbon will be the world's biggest commodity market, and it could become the world's biggest market overall."
